11.00am - Gates open for competitors and the public.
12.00pm - 4.00pm - Solo Piping commences.
1.00pm - Grade 4 Starts.
2.00pm - Grade 3 Starts.
3.30pm - Open Grade Starts.
4.15pm - Massed Bands return to the Arena.
4.30pm - Presentation of prizes.
Competing bands include the Pride of Murray , The University of Bedfordshire and the host band British Airways. The judges for the day are coming from Scotland , which includes Peter Snaddon the piping judge , David Brown the drumming judge and Neil Mulvie the solo piping judge. In addition to the programme there will be a Ceilidh playing in the best priced bar in town during the afternoon .
During the day Pipers can get together and have the opportunity to enter the open trio's contest.
(1) Open March - play four two parted 2/4 marches or equivalent
(2)Open Selection - play a selection of tunes lasting approximately 4 minutes.
Entry fee £6 per event. Pay and enter on the day.
